The MOGAR Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides food, clothing, toiletries, and other essential items to people and families in need. With roots in New York and the Dominican Republic, the foundation’s two founding families take special pride in supporting fellow locals and uplifting their communities.

MOGAR helps families living in difficult conditions build new housing or find temporary shelter during challenging times.

MOGAR hosts holiday parties and annual drives to collect essential items and wishlist toys for kids and families in need.

Why We Give
The 2020 pandemic left the MOGAR more motivated to give back than ever. After seeing people in their own communities struggle firsthand, they decided to come together to help using the resources and blessings they’ve been given.

Founded
by Family
The Morel and Garcia families (Mo-Gar) created this foundation as a way to pay forward the help they once received as immigrants coming to the U.S. to start new lives. Beyond giving back, the foundation serves as a way to honor the past and strengthen the family legacy moving forward.
